Advocate

Engaging communities. Empowering individuals.

Advocacy is an essential part of fighting poverty – in our area and beyond. You can advocate on behalf of our neighbors in a variety of ways, including:

  • Contacting your elected officials about issues that affect your community. (Not sure who your representatives are? Click here to find out.)
  • Writing a letter to the editor of your local newspaper to raise awareness about hunger, housing, education and empowerment.
  • Posting and sharing stories about poverty and relief efforts on social media.
  • Talking about tough issues with your family, friends, coworkers or community groups.
