FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – Action Pathways Head Start continues to provide for families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with child care partnership family advocates, Action Pathways Head Start extended its reach to families in need of diapers and wipes.

“It is important that a child has access to everything they need. If a child is without their basic resources, then they are unable to learn,” Child Services Manager Annie Kelly said.

While keeping a safe distance, family advocates passed out diapers and wipes to families in their vehicles.

Head Start provided a total of 600 diapers, 415 Pull-Ups, and 44 packs of wipes to 20 families.

With schools closed through the summer, Action Pathways Head Start will continue to provide necessary resources and aid to families affected during this time. Individuals interested in providing support are encouraged to give to the Action Pathways COVID-19 Emergency Response Campaign that helps provide resources for families in need. To give, please visit www.actionpathways.ngo.

About Action Pathways Head Start

Action Pathways believes that education is the key to a sustainable future for individuals and communities. Building a foundation for lifelong learning begins at an early age. That’s why Action Pathways Head Start is focused on providing the right start in a safe, age-appropriate learning environment for children from birth to age five, including children with special needs and pregnant women.

All children that are enrolled in Action Pathways Head Start centers receive breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. Meal service is included at Head Start and Early Head Start (which serves our youngest children) because of our comprehensive approach. We recognize that good nutrition is an important part of helping children to be successful learners.
